INDEPENDENT BUSINESS TECHNOLOGY AUDITS
Understand the Technology Your Business Depends On
An independent, practical technology audit for growing and established private-sector businesses.
Understand your systems, suppliers, security, backup and technology costs. Get a clear view of current risks and a prioritised plan rather than a generic checklist or another list of products to buy.
Independent IT assessment • Evidence-based findings • Practical business priorities • Clear next steps
WHEN AN AUDIT HELPS
Technology decisions should start with facts
An independent assessment is useful before a supplier change, business expansion, major upgrade or security investment.
An unclear technology estate
Understand what is deployed, which systems are critical, who owns them and where support boundaries sit.
Hidden security and recovery risks
Review essential access controls, backup assumptions, patching and operational dependencies.
Rising costs and supplier commitments
Spot duplication, avoidable cost, ageing systems and contracts that no longer fit the business.
WHAT WE REVIEW
Six practical review areas
The systems and evidence included are confirmed before work starts. Review depth depends on the agreed engagement.
Business systems and asset ownership
Servers, end-user devices, applications, service owners, lifecycle status and operational dependencies.
Identity, devices and security
User account processes, MFA, endpoint protection, patching, permissions and remote working practices.
Networks, cloud and SaaS
Internet and office connectivity, Wi-Fi, hosted platforms, business email and cloud subscriptions.
Backup and continuity
Critical data, backup scope, restore evidence, recovery objectives, supplier dependencies and continuity arrangements.
Supplier and technology costs
Contracts, support responsibilities, renewal dates, software licences, overlapping subscriptions and cost visibility.
A business-focused roadmap
Findings ranked by likelihood, impact, effort and dependency, with suggested owner and 30/60/90-day steps.

COMMON QUESTIONS
How business technology audits work
Understand access, independence, reporting and scope before you begin.
Will you replace our existing IT provider?
No. We work alongside existing IT suppliers with your agreement and provide impartial findings you can act on with any provider.
Do you need full administrator access?
No. We start with stakeholder interviews, documents, customer exports and appropriately scoped read-only views.
Can you help implement the recommendations?
Yes, if you choose. Implementation is separately proposed; you are under no obligation to commission DNC for follow-on services.
Does the audit provide formal certification?
No. The engagement is an independent technical and operational assessment, not a formal accreditation, ISO certification or penetration test.
